No-Refined Sugar Desserts
1. Dates Nuts Energy Balls (No Sugar).
Ingredients:
Preparation:
- Dry roast almonds, cashews, and walnuts between 2 and 3 mins.
- Blitz the nuts in a mixer (leave it course).
- Continue mixing till the paste is sticky.
- Combine dates and nuts and cardamom powder.
- Add 1 tsp ghee if needed.
- Roll into small balls.
- Keep in an airtight container.
2. Jaggery Coconut Ladoo (No Sugar).
Ingredients:
- Fresh grated coconut – 2 cups
- Powdered jaggery – ¾ cup
- Cardamom powder – ½ tsp
- Ghee – 1 tbsp
Preparation:
- Heat a pan and add ghee.
- Add coconut grated and saute 2 mins.
- Add jaggery and mix till melting.
- Bake until the mixture gets thick and leaves the sides.
- Add cardamom powder and mix.
- Shape into ladoos while warm.
3. Banana Oats Sweet Patties
Ingredients:
- Ripe bananas – 2
- Rolled oats – 1 cup
- Cinnamon – ¼ tsp
- Chopped nuts – 2 tbsp (optional)
Preparation:
- Mash bananas in a bowl.
- Add oats, cinnamon, and nuts.
- Mix to form a dough.
- Make small patties.
- Toast either side of tawa till it turns golden brown.
4. Ragi Jaggery Ladoo
Ingredients:
- Ragi flour – 1 cup
- Jaggery – ¾ cup (grated)
- Ghee – 2 tbsp
- Cardamom powder – ½ tsp
- Roasted nuts – optional
Preparation:
- Ragi flour is dried by roasting 5-6 minutes.
- Boil Ghee and pour on the roasted ragi.
- ALS Added jaggery and cardamom, grated.
- Combine and form into ladoos.
5. Dates Carrot Halwa (No Sugar)
Ingredients:
- Grated carrot – 2 cups
- Date syrup- 1 cup (soaked and blended) seedless.
- Milk – 1 cup
- Ghee – 1 tbsp
- Cardamom powder – ½ tsp
- Nuts – optional
Preparation:
- Add grated carrot in milk and cook until soft.
- Add dates paste and mix.
- Cook until thick.
- Add ghee and cardamom powder.
- Garnish with nuts.
6. Mini Bites, Banana Peanuts Butter.
Ingredients:
- Ripe banana – 1
- Peanut butter (no sugar) -2tbsp.
- Oats – ½ cup
- Chia seeds – 1 tbsp (optional)
Preparation
- Mash banana.
- The additions include peanut butter, oats, and chia seeds.
- Mix and refrigerate for 15 mins.
- Roll into mini bites.
7. Banana Rice Steamed Sweet Pidi Kozhukattai.
Ingredients:
- Rice flour – 1 cup
- Banana – 1 (mashed)
- Grated coconut – ¼ cup
- Jaggery – ½ cup
- Cardamom – ¼ tsp
Preparation:
- Melt jaggery and strain.
- Combine rice flour with banana, coconut and cardamom.
- Dough Dough Add jaggery syrup in bits.
- Form into pidi (oval) kozhukattai.
- Steam for 10 minutes.
