Naturally Sweet Treats 

No-Refined Sugar Desserts


1. Dates Nuts Energy Balls (No Sugar).



Ingredients:

Preparation:

  1. Dry roast almonds, cashews, and walnuts between 2 and 3 mins.
  2. Blitz the nuts in a mixer (leave it course).
  3. Continue mixing till the paste is sticky.
  4. Combine dates and nuts and cardamom powder.
  5. Add 1 tsp ghee if needed.
  6. Roll into small balls.
  7. Keep in an airtight container.



2. Jaggery Coconut Ladoo (No Sugar).



Ingredients:

  • Fresh grated coconut – 2 cups
  • Powdered jaggery – ¾ cup
  • Cardamom powder – ½ tsp
  • Ghee – 1 tbsp

Preparation:

  1. Heat a pan and add ghee.
  2. Add coconut grated and saute 2 mins.
  3. Add jaggery and mix till melting.
  4. Bake until the mixture gets thick and leaves the sides.
  5. Add cardamom powder and mix.
  6. Shape into ladoos while warm.



3. Banana Oats Sweet Patties



Ingredients:

  • Ripe bananas – 2
  • Rolled oats – 1 cup
  • Cinnamon – ¼ tsp
  • Chopped nuts – 2 tbsp (optional)

Preparation:

  1. Mash bananas in a bowl.
  2. Add oats, cinnamon, and nuts.
  3. Mix to form a dough.
  4. Make small patties.
  5. Toast either side of tawa till it turns golden brown.


4. Ragi Jaggery Ladoo



Ingredients:

  • Ragi flour – 1 cup
  • Jaggery – ¾ cup (grated)
  • Ghee – 2 tbsp
  • Cardamom powder – ½ tsp
  • Roasted nuts – optional

Preparation:

  1. Ragi flour is dried by roasting 5-6 minutes.
  2. Boil Ghee and pour on the roasted ragi.
  3. ALS Added jaggery and cardamom, grated.
  4. Combine and form into ladoos.


5. Dates Carrot Halwa (No Sugar)



Ingredients:

  • Grated carrot – 2 cups
  • Date syrup- 1 cup (soaked and blended) seedless.
  • Milk – 1 cup
  • Ghee – 1 tbsp
  • Cardamom powder – ½ tsp
  • Nuts – optional

Preparation:

  1. Add grated carrot in milk and cook until soft.
  2. Add dates paste and mix.
  3. Cook until thick.
  4. Add ghee and cardamom powder.
  5. Garnish with nuts.



6. Mini Bites, Banana Peanuts Butter.



Ingredients:

  • Ripe banana – 1
  • Peanut butter (no sugar) -2tbsp.
  • Oats – ½ cup
  • Chia seeds – 1 tbsp (optional)

Preparation

  1. Mash banana.
  2. The additions include peanut butter, oats, and chia seeds.
  3. Mix and refrigerate for 15 mins.
  4. Roll into mini bites.



7. Banana Rice Steamed Sweet Pidi Kozhukattai.



Ingredients:

  • Rice flour – 1 cup
  • Banana – 1 (mashed)
  • Grated coconut – ¼ cup
  • Jaggery – ½ cup
  • Cardamom – ¼ tsp


Preparation:

  1. Melt jaggery and strain.
  2. Combine rice flour with banana, coconut and cardamom.
  3. Dough Dough Add jaggery syrup in bits.
  4. Form into pidi (oval) kozhukattai.
  5. Steam for 10 minutes.
