1. Amla Ginger Juice

(Powerful Immunity Booster Drink)



Ingredients:

  • Fresh amla – 3
  • Ginger – 1 small piece
  • Honey – 1 tsp
  • Water – ½ cup

Preparation:

  1. Wash and chop the amla taking away the seed.
  2. Place amla, ginger and water in a blender.
  3. Shake and pour the juice strain.
  4. Add honey and mix well.
  5. Fresh serving is the best option to get the full benefits of vitamin C.



2. Lemon Garlic Rasam

(Traditional Immunity Booster Soup)



Ingredients:

  • Lemon juice – 2 tbsp
  • Garlic cloves – 5 (crushed)
  • Tomato – 1 (chopped)
  • Rasam powder – 1 tsp
  • Mustard seeds – ½ tsp
  • Curry leaves – few
  • Water – 2 cups
  • Salt – to taste

Preparation:

  1. Bring chopped tomato to the boil using water and salt.
  2. Add rasam powder and garlic, boil 5 minutes.
  3. Turn off the flame and put lemon juice.
  4. Add temper mustard seeds, curry leaves to rasam.
  5. Serve hot with rice or take like soup.

Ingredients:

  • Orange – 1 (peeled & segmented)
  • Carrot – 1 (grated)
  • Lemon juice – 1 tsp
  • Salt – a pinch
  • Black pepper – a pinch

Preparation:

Ingredients:

  • Ripe guava – 1 (chopped)
  • Mint leaves – few

  • Water – ½ cup

Preparation:

  1. Pour in a blender guava, mint, lemon juice, honey, and water.
  2. Blend until smooth.
  3. Strain, should there be need, chilled.

Ingredients:

  • Green, red, or yellow capsicum 2 ( sliced)
  • Garlic – 2 cloves (chopped)
  • Olive oil – 1 tsp
  • Salt – to taste

Preparation:

  1. Heat oil on pan and lightly saute garlic.
  2. Add slices of capsicum and fry on high flame 34 minutes.
  3. Add salt and pepper, mix well.
  4. Serve hot as a side dish.
